The founder of the collective, Dani Maloney, envisioned a company that melds contemporary dance forms with specialized elements, birthing a fresh and invigorating artistic endeavor.
Dani intertwines athletic movement with compelling narratives to craft a distinct experience for audiences. Maloney articulates, "Dance enables individuals to witness their authentic truths gracefully manifest before them. This encapsulates the core aspiration of DMD – to evoke genuine emotions within people."

DMD Artistic Director and Founder
Dani Maloney’s dance journey began at the age of three when she started lessons at Long’s School of Dance in Erie, Pennsylvania. Her passion for the art form continued throughout her education at Shenandoah Conservatory, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography in December 2017.
In addition to her formal training, Dani founded DMD (Dani Maloney Dance), a group she later transformed into a nonprofit dance company in 2020. Based in Las Vegas, DMD produces both live performances and films. The company has earned several accolades, including film awards from the Lady Filmmakers Festival, Festigous International Film Festival, Screen Dance International, Kalakari Film Festival, Prisma Independent Film Awards, RED Movie Awards, Rome Prisma Film Awards, and The BeBop Channel. DMD also placed in the top 10 at the World of Dance 2022 Championship Week, ranking among the top 10 dance acts in the U.S.
Beyond her work with DMD, Dani has choreographed for various projects, including Cirque Du Giselle, an aerial and dance play for the Hollywood Fringe Festival, and From Vegas, With Love. She has set work for several performance groups and has taught masterclasses and workshops across the United States. Dani also worked at AREA15 as their event coordinator, and she helped plan, manage, and execute the ins and outs of their large-scale entertainment events.

She played the Keeper and was the resident dance captain and rehearsal director in 2022. She was later cast in the role of Lilith when the show remounted at the Luxor Casino. In addition to her performance duties, Dani swung 4 out of the 6 tracks and was the resident dance captain in the remount.
